Definitions
Eskrima
The word "Eskrima" is derived from the Spanish word “Esgrima” which means a game between two combatants with use of a Blunt instruments. These instruments are called either olisi, baston, or Garote. Our Eskrima program Directed by Grand Master Alfredo Bandalan and Master Sonny Napial. Classes are available for beginning, intermediate and advance students.
Hapkido
Translated, Hap (means to combine, unite or harmonize) Ki (means internal strength, life force, or dynamic energy) and Do (the way, system, or method. Traditional Hapkido is said to contain over 3700 techniques including 120 different kicks. There are many styles of Hapkido being practiced today. At O’Neal’s Taekwondo, we teach an a combative style of Hapkido focused on teaching the adult student self-defense from the very first workout.
Taekwondo
Translated literally, Taekwondo means “art of hand and foot fighting.” It’s more than just that, however. It is the scientific use of the body in methods of self-defense, a body that has gained the ultimate use of its facilities through intensive physical and mental training. Taekwondo, is also a greater way to tone the entire body and Can be a great workout for the whole family. O’Neal’s Taekwondo also Competes on a State and National levels.
