News and EventsPRESS RELEASE Cincinnati, OH March 27, 2008 Kyongwon Ahn, founder of Ahn Taekwondo Institute of Blue Ash, OH has been nominated for a special award by the United States Taekwondo Grandmasters’ Society. Grandmaster Ahn will receive the award for “Outstanding Leadership” for his contributions to the art of Taekwondo in the United States for the past 42 years at a ceremony in Dallas, TX on April 5th. The U.S. Grandmasters’ Society awards are given annually to honor individuals who have dedicated themselves to preserving the heritage of the art of Taekwondo, teaching the art to their students, and to serving the communities in which they live. The U.S. Grandmasters’ Society is a national organization founded to provide a forum for education and development of the art of Taekwondo, which is practiced by over 3 million students in the United States. Taekwondo is also a full medal sport at the Olympic Games. Some of Grandmaster Ahn’s other accomplishments include:
